Advanced Tajweed

Dr Ayman Rushdi Swaid's book, taught weekly

Overview

Tajweed is usually taught by ear. Dr Ayman Rushdi Swaid drew it instead.

The book takes every rule of recitation and sets it out as a diagram: where each letter is formed in the mouth, what happens when one letter meets the next, and why the sound changes. Once you have seen it, you stop guessing.

We work through the book chapter by chapter, and you recite. Every session is part explanation and part correction, so you leave knowing both the rule and what your own recitation is doing with it.
